Rooney Mara: I’m having MOST of my piercings removed

Even though it's an enormous Hollywood blockbuster based on a bestselling book, most of the pre-publicity chatter around 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' has centered on Rooney Mara and her piercings.

As we now know, the fearless actress had a variety of body parts impaled for the film, including her nipple.

When Yahoo! Movies had a chat with Mara, alongside co-star and Daniel Craig, she admitted she was looking forward to having some of them removed.

"I'm probably going to take out my piercings! But I might keep a few of them, I don't know…"

Meanwhile Craig, happy to be off 'Bond' duty, said it was seeing the book constantly in airports that made him take the role.

"It was difficult to avoid it!" he said. "You'd pass through airports and you'd see ten, twenty people reading copies of the book. What was fascinating was that it was a complete range of ages — from teenagers to old people — it was difficult to ignore."
