This week it was revealed that Tom Cruise uses the name Cage Hunt to check into hotels in an attempt to conceal his identity. According to reports, the name he's using is his 'porn name', but this doesn't check out as his mother's maiden name isn't Hunt. We reckon it's a homage to fellow actor Nic Cage and Cruise's on-screen 'Mission Impossible' character Ethan Hunt. Not exactly the enigma code, is it?

Kate Beckinsale has amassed a huge fan base of nerdy kids thanks to her leather clad performances in the successful 'Underworld' movies and her countless shoots for lads' mags. According to reports, she opts to check in with the pseudo name Sigourney Beaver. Apparently she's a massive fan of the actress Sigourney Weaver but figured using the 'Alien' star's real name wouldn't have helped much.

Ladies' favourite Johnny Depp is no stranger to hoards of fans baying for his attention so no wonder he's had to adopt a phony name. The kooky actor shows no sign of playing it straight with his unusual concoctions of 'Mr. Drip Noodle', 'Mr. Stench' and 'Mr. Oddpong', which have all been used to disguise his now globally famous name.

After saying goodbye to Jennifer Aniston (who uses the fake name Mrs. Smith), Brad Pitt went on to create a different disguise for himself and new beau Angelina Jolie. They decided to go down the culinary route and picked 'Bryce & Jasmine Pilaf' for their secret name.
