New batch of Pacific Rim pics released

Eight epic new images for ‘Pacific Rim’ have been unveiled, cranking up the hype for Guillermo del Toro’s giant monsters vs. robots clash.

Described by the ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ and ‘Hellboy’ director as ‘a beautiful poem to giant monsters’, ‘Pacific Rim’ see’s colossal creatures called Kuiju rise from the Pacific Ocean and bring about a near apocalypse. Mankind sensibly resorts to building equally massive robots, called Jaegers, to take on the monsters. But, when even the mechanical monstrosities prove ineffective, the fate of humanity is left to two unlikely heroes who drive a legendary but obsolete titan.

Think ‘Godzilla’ vs. ‘Transformers’. With del Toro.

We still have to wait until July to see ‘Pacific Rim’, but that’s no reason not get a little excited now. Check out the new rest of the new images below:
