Convicted sex offender worked on Super 8
A three week investigation by prosecutors in Los Angeles has found that a casting agent who worked on ‘Super 8’, ‘Cheaper By The Dozen 2’ and ‘School of Rock’ is a convicted child molester.
Jason James Murphy was convicted of kidnapping and molesting an 8-year-old boy in 1996 when he was 19, before serving five years in prison and undergoing counselling.
The Hollywood Report claims he then moved to California in 2005, and registered as a sex offender under his legal name, undergoing a required state evaluation.

The name he registered under, however, was not “Jason James”.
He will appear in a Beverly Hills court on 18 January under charges that could have him back in prison for a three year maximum sentence.
