Disturbing first poster for Karen Gillan horror Oculus
Plus the unnerving new trailer, from the team behind Paranormal Activity.
The creepy first trailer upcoming horror ‘Oculus’ has sneaked online, but it’s the poster for the Karen Gillan fronted film that’s really got us disturbed… It’s absolutely horrific!

The unsettling promo features an almost faceless ‘Doctor Who’ star Gillan, with her eyes replaced by tiny hands and the accompanying tagline, “You see what it wants you to see.”
‘Oculus’, from the producer of ‘Paranormal Activity’ and ‘Insidious’, follows Kaylie (played by Gillan), who reunites with her brother Tim after his imprisonment for the murder of their parents. Only Kaylie believes her brother is innocent, and the supernatural forces unleashed by an antique mirror in their family home were actually to blame for the slaughter. So, ready to track down the truth, Kaylie and Tim revisit the mirror, only to face the terrors of their childhood all over again.

Speaking to our pals at Yahoo Movies US, Karen said she was drawn to the movie because of a “deep-seated” love of horror movies.

"I saw 'The Exorcist' by myself when I was way too young," the 23-year-old actress admitted, saying she watched scary movies (‘Scream’ being her favourite) with her mum – and they left an impression on her.
The star, appearing next in Marvel’s ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’, also revealed that she gets creeped out by mirrors all the time, thinking she sees things reflected behind her. All those horror movies have taken their toll though, as the star said she now insists on having someone else go with her back into her own house when she’s been away, because she gets too scared to go in alone.
We’re not sure making ‘Oculus’ would have helped things really…
