Django and Basterds could be parts of trilogy
Tarantino says that Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds could be linked
Quentin Tarantino has revealed that his films 'Inglorious Basterds' and the forthcoming 'Django Unchained' may be part of a trilogy.
Both films revolve heavily around the notion of revenge, as well as being heightened period pieces, and the director reckons that he could connect the dots with a third film.

“'Inglourious Basterds' and 'Django Unchained' bespeak a trilogy. As different as they are, there is a companion piece quality,” he told Total Film.
“There might very well be a third one. I just don’t know what it is yet.”
The publicity machine around his forthcoming western is about to fire up, with its release planned for January 23 in the UK (though it arrives on Christmas Day in the US).
It stars Jamie Foxx as the slave of the title set in the Deep South of the US. Django is freed from his masters by bounty hunter Dr. King Shultz (Christoph Waltz) who offers to free him completely if he agrees to help him track down a ruthless gang.
It also stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the slave owner who holds Django's wife (Kerry Washington) captive, alongside Don Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson.
