It’s hardly an authoritative source, but it’s the first real movement we’ve heard in a while from ‘Chronicle’ director Josh Trank’s quiet ‘Fantastic Four’ project.

Matthew Vaughn has already been confirmed as producing the reboot, with ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’s’ Seth Grahame-Smith working on Jeremy Slater’s script.

‘Fantastic Four’ will reportedly take a more grounded approach to the source material, in line with Trank’s epic 2012 teenage sci-fi ‘Chronicle’. The movie is planned to share continuity with the current ‘X-Men’ series, which is also owned by studio Fox, but still exist separately from the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe – owned by Marvel Studios and rival studio Disney.

Last time we saw the Marvel foursome on the big screen was forgettable 2007 sequel ‘Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer’, starring Loan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba and Chris Evans.

The ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot is slated for a March 2015 release.
