First full trailer lands for Carrie remake
'Go to your closet and pray...' Chloe Grace Moretz takes on De Palma's classic shocker.
It's a cinematic hot potato for fans of Brian De Palma's benchmark shocker, but the first full trailer for the update of 'Carrie' is now in...
Much in its favour is the film's two solid leads, 'Kick-Ass' star Chloe Grace Moretz as the put-upon misfit Carrie and Julianne Moore as her religious zealot mother.
Also encouraging is who is behind the camera – Kimberly Peirce, the director behind post-Iraq war drama 'Stop-Loss', but best known for her stunning debut 'Boys Don't Cry'.

Though the very thought of remaking the movie – and trying to out-do Sissy Spacek's haunting turn in the 1976 original – will have already turned some off, it looks as though this could be worth a punt, if only to see the story of furious vengeance in the final act played out to a new generation.
Stephen King, who wrote the book, was among those initially sceptical.
On being asked about the production, he said: “The real question is why, when the original was so good? I mean, not 'Casablanca', or anything, but a really good horror-suspense film, much better than the book.”
We shall see...
Also starring are British actress Gabrielle Wilde, 'The Descendants' Judy Greer and Aussie star of 'Chronicle', Alex Russell.
It's due out on October 18, just in time for Halloween... spooky.
