Five members of Justice League revealed?

Potential line-up for rival superhero crew to Marvel Comics' The Avengers emerges

The forthcoming 'Justice League' film will feature Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash, according to reports.

The DC Comics equivalent of 'The Avengers' – though it emerged three years before 'The Avengers', in 1960 – will make the leap to celluloid in 2015.

But with numerous other characters appearing in its number – including the likes of the less well-known Red Tornado, Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Black Canary and Elongated Man – it was not known who would pick up a part in the film.

Now Latino Review, which cites a source in the production and has dropped a number of exclusives in the comic book realm in recent months, is reporting that the final line-up will comprise the best-known five characters, though there are said to be cameos possible from Martian Manhunter and Aquaman.

It seems a likely ensemble, but as yet there's no confirmation from DC or Warner Bros, though it is set to begin shooting later this year.

It's also not yet known who will direct the picture - Ben Affleck recently said he'd not been offered it, despite rumours to the contrary - or whether the current Man of Steel, Brit actor Henry Cavill, will appear as Superman in the film.

Speculation has also been rife as to who will take on the role of Batman, with 'The Social Network' star Armie Hammer and Joseph Gordon-Levitt both linked to the part.
