Has Jurassic Park 4 stalled?

Tweets from the crew on the film suggest that it may have been put on hold

Production on 'Jurassic Park 4' may have been put on hold, according to reports.

A number of tweets from members of the film's crew emerged yesterday suggesting just that, but have since been deleted.

Ain't It Cool News managed to grab the tweets before they disappeared into the ether, one from the movie's digital asset manager Todd Smoyer and the other from its concept artist Dean Sherriff.

Smoyer's message reads 'Hollywood makes and crushes dreams. Goodbye JP4', while Sherriff's simply said 'JP4 on hold'.

It would be an unexpected turn for the film, which only announced its director in March.

Colin Trevorrow - who only has one other feature film under his belt, the well-received 'Safety Not Guaranteed' - had suggested the pre-production was going well.

He tweeted last week some footage of test shots which appeared to be placing the action back at Isla Nublar, the fictional island from the first film.

The film is scripted by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, who wrote 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'.

It's also got a release date – a rapidly approaching June 13, 2014, considering it will be such an effects-heavy project.

So far there's been no official word on what is happening with the production.
