Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels pose in Dumb And Dumber costumes

Cult comedy stars announce sequel production with hilarious online pics.

Naysayers prepare to apologise. Jim Carrey has proved the ‘Dumb And Dumber’ sequel is definitely still happening – unveiling a cheeky pic of himself and co-star Jeff Daniels reunited as their idiotic alter-egos Harry and Lloyd, on the set of ‘Dumb And Dumber To’.

Carrey, who plays Lloyd Christmas, posted the gonna-go-viral snap to his WhoSay account, on the same day he released his first children’s book ‘How Roland Rolls’. He wrote:

“How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and Harry! Yep... THEY'RE BAAAAAACK! ;^•”

Soon after, Harry Dunne star Daniels followed scruffy suit, unveiling his own memoir via Twitter - almost 20 years after the cult gross-out comedy first stumbled onto our screens.

Daniels, who only this weekend bagged himself Best Actor at The Emmys for the brilliant (and much more serious ) ‘Newsroom’, recently praised original filmmakers the Farrelly brothers for what he called their ”genius”

“There are some things that we’re going to do in ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ that make the toilet scene [in the first movie] seem lame,” Daniels told press after picking up his award.

“It pales in comparison and I can’t divulge what, but just that they’ve topped it. The best thing about it? I get to work with a comedic genius.”

Here's a clip of a more respectable looking Jeff speaking about 'Dumb And Dumber To' at the Emmy Awards last weekend.
