New Dark Knight Rises viral material emerges

Another flurry of 'Dark Knight Rises' viral marketing pays tribute to Harvey Dent

It's now less than a month until Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated final Batman film, 'The Dark Knight Rises', premieres, and the viral marketing campaign is amping up.

Three pages of fictional newspaper The Gotham Observer have appeared online, with multiple stories inside, and a front page headline highlighting Harvey Dent Day festivities in Gotham City.

It links to a couple of the events in the trailer - a Gotham Rogues charity American football match is to be held on the day, as well as a special party at Wayne Manor.

The new film is set eight years after The Dark Knight, and the article reveals there have been no developments on the case against Batman concerning Dent's death:

"Many hold the masked vigilante responsible for Dent's death, though authorities have never announced their efforts to make an arrest. While Batman still tops the Gotham City Police most-wanted list and the case remains open, little is known and there have been no recent developments."

Elsewhere in the three pages, there's a mysterious ad for a company called Rykin Data with a web address that shows a patent from someone named A Heiberger. There's also a small story about a series of robberies, surely Catwoman's doing.

Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard are among the star-studded lineup who'll bring the story to the screen on July 20.
