Scarlett Johansson: Black Widow film WILL happen if fans want it
ScarJo wants her time in the sun.
Scarlett Johansson is keen for Black Widow to get a solo Marvel movie, suggesting that the studio would bow to fan pressure if there’s enough demand for it.
“The great thing about working with Marvel is that they are really into the audience participation,” explains Johansson in our exclusive interview above, “If the audience wants to see a Black Widow movie then that conversation can certainly be opened up."

The 29-year-old actress, who is currently promoting the chilling ‘Under The Skin’ (in UK cinemas now), thinks her ‘Avengers’ character’s dubious morals make her a prime candidate for a solo film.
“I love playing that character, she has a wonderful depth and really interesting grey area. She has no moral compass. These are all things that I think would be interesting to explore for her own spin-off.”
Scarlett’s Black Widow character made her debut in ‘Iron Man 2’, with her ass-kicking secret agent returning for 2012’s ‘The Avengers’ and this year’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’.

Marvel studio boss Kevin Feige recently suggested that a Black Widow spin-off could be framed as an origin tale, but with 'Captain America 3' just being announced, it’s likely the studio won’t have space for the film in its slate until 2017.
‘Under The Skin’ is out in UK cinemas now.
