The world was introduced to Ella Vaday as a contestant in the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Since then, Vaday (Nick Collier out of drag) has become one of the most popular – and thirsted-over – stars within the Drag Race franchise.
On Drag Race UK, Vaday won as many as four maxi challenges and never landed in the bottom. Her wins in the competition included the girl group challenge, the Snatch Game, an acting challenge, and the roast challenge. This impressive track record got Vaday to the finale alongside Krystal Versace and Kitty Scott-Claus, with Versace being ultimately crowned by Mama Ru.
As a theater performer, Vaday’s credits include The Book of Mormon, Fame, Cats, and Peter Pan. Vaday was also featured in the Crush Hour: A Musical podcast series last year. And as of 2023, Vaday is set to appear in a movie titled Sumotherhood alongside Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Saunders (via British GQ).
