The first of LG’s eagerly awaited 2021 Nanocell TVs, the Nano756, have arrived in stores, and if you get your skates on you can bag the 43-inch model with a healthy £120 saving.

The 4K flatscreen offers razor sharp pictures with HDR (High Dynamic Range) support for better dynamics and contrast.

Nanocell, in case you’re wondering, is LG’s pet name for its LED TVs.

2021 is ushering in some big changes for LG’s TV line-up.

This 7-series set features the latest version of the brand’s webOS smart platform. It’s a significant upgrade on what we’ve seen before. The old-style Launcher bar has been replaced with a full-screen interface which allows for more content recommendations and channel curation.

There’s a wide variety of streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video, Britbox, Now, Apple TV+ and Disney+.

The brand is also friends with Freeview Play once more, which was absent on last year’s LG models. So there’s not only a full complement of mainstream catch-up TV services (BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, My5, All4 and UKTV Play) built-in, but a roll-back 7-day programme guide to explore and thousands of free box-sets to binge.

Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice control is also available, which makes searching for something to watch less of a chore.

The screen’s design is suitably minimalist, with three HDMI connectors on the rear for set top TV boxes, media streamers and Blu-ray disc players (if you’re still rocking a DVD player, you’ll really want to upgrade to make the most of this set’s talents).

Wireless support covers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but there’s still an Ethernet connection for wired networking if you prefer.

Finally, to give audio a lift, AI sound processing is on hand to make the most of its 20W power output.
