A Complete Unknown actors and the real life people they play

Bob Dylan is getting the biopic treatment with A Complete Unknown, a new film that stars Timothée Chalamet as the iconic musician during his rise to fame in the 1960s.

The film, directed by James Mangold, opens in 1961 and follows the musician from his early gigs in Greenwich village to his breakout in 1963, and his controversial break away from folk music in 1965 in favour of electric. The singer has continued to be one of the most influential figures in music, being described as a voice of a generation.

A number of big names take on roles in Dylan's life in the movie, such as Edward Norton as Dylan's mentor Pete Seeger, Monica Barbaro as fellow singer Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash. Elle Fanning also stars in the film as Sylvie Russo, who is based on Dylan's girlfriend Suze Rotolo.

Herre is how the actors compare to their real-life counterparts.
