Timothee Chalamet arrives at A Complete Unknown UK premiere on a Lime bike
Actor Timothee Chalamet arrived at the UK premiere of Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown on a Lime bike.
The 29-year-old, who plays Dylan in the film, cycled down the red carpet on the electric bike.
He was wearing a blue, green and black patterned shirt and a black suit for the event at BFI Southbank in London.
During the press tour for the film, Chalamet appeared at his own lookalike contest in New York; surprised a marching band at the University Of Minnesota; and even donned some of Dylan’s best known looks.
He was joined on the red carpet by Monica Barbaro, who plays singer Joan Baez in the film, and Edward Norton, who plays Pete Seeger.
Speaking about performing all of the film’s music live, she said: “I mean, the folk music scene is one of authenticity and rawness, and it’s not an overly polished music style.
“And so we just knew that it was the best thing for the film to perform live and sort of just embrace whatever came up in the moment, and I think it was the best thing for the film.”
Barbaro, 34, wore a black dress, while Norton, 55, wore a blue suite with a black turtleneck top.
Other stars at the event included Anais Gallagher, the daughter of Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, rock band The Last Dinner Party, members of the band Blossoms, DJ Nick Grimshaw, and TV presenters Vernon Kay and Laura Whitmore.
The film follows Dylan’s early days in the 1960s, culminating in his controversial performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, after he had gone electric.
The movie is directed by James Mangold, who also helmed acclaimed Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, which was nominated for five Oscars, winning one for best actress for Witherspoon.
A Complete Unknown will be released in UK cinemas on Friday.
