A Real Pain premiere at the London Film Festival
Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin stepped out onto the red carpet at the BFI London Film Festival on Sunday, 13 October to celebrate the premiere of A Real Pain.
Written and directed by Eisenberg, the movie follows estranged cousins David (Eisenberg) and Benji (Culkin) whose grandmother has just died. In her will she tasks the pair go on a trip that will lead them to her home in Poland where she lived before the Nazis invaded and rounded up the Jews in the area.
David and Benji embark on a Holocaust tour, that forces them to reckon with their family's traumatic past as well as their own personal struggles. Critics were wowed by the movie, with several remarking how Culkin is in with a chance at winning an Oscar for his performance.
