Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse spoilers follow.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse writer and producer Christopher Miller has given fans a sneak peek of some behind-the-scenes action recorded while filming the blockbuster hit movie.

Swinging into cinemas earlier this month, Across the Spider-Verse is already setting new records. Now, Miller has shared a rare snap of a well-known actor reprising his role.

If you have not seen the new animated movie yet, look away now.

Miller shared a green screen filming image of actor Donald Glover in his costume for Marvel character Aaron Davis (aka the Prowler). Marvel movie fans will recognise Glover's portrayal of Davis from the 2017 movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Posting two images, Miller captioned the tweet: "Keep scrolling if you haven't yet watched Across the Spider-Verse (on the big screen while you still can!). This was a fun day we had playing around with an old pal."

The first image shows Glover sitting in front of a green screen with a circular camera track around him, with the second image being a full-body shot of Glover in costume in a dressing room.

Glover appears as Prowler in Across the Spider-Verse, with many fans hoping he reprises the role in another Spider-Man movie in the future.

In the MCU, Davis is Miles Morales' uncle, with Miles, of course, also being a Spider-Man. As viewers are yet to see a live-action take on Miles, it does beg the question of if and when that movie comes, will Glover appear in it.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel to the popular 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and will be followed by Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is to be released in 2024.

Fans of Miles Morales' Spider-Man can get another taste of him this year on the small screen in the upcoming PlayStation 5 game Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The game will allow gamers to play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they take on iconic villains such as Venom, Kraven the Hunter and the Lizard.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is out now in cinemas.
