Adam Sandler's Netflix hit Leo is getting a sequel.
The 2o23 animated comedy followed class pets Leo the tuatara and Squirtle the sea turtle on a quest for freedom and featured co-stars Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander and Bill Burr as the voice of Squirtle.
Now, according to Netflix's co-CEO Ted Sarandos, the idea for a sequel is being discussed.

As reported by The Wrap, Sarandos was asking about a sequel during an earnings call for the streamer, to which he replied: "We're kicking around Leo 2 right now. The animation team is firing on all cylinders."
Speaking about the original Leo's success, Sarandos explained why he thought the film was so popular with audiences – sharing some insight into viewer habits.
"Look, I think Leo resonated for the same reason The Sea Beast did last year. People love it. And they do watch it over and over again, which drives engagement and attachment," he said.
"Leo and The Sea Beast are proof points that we can create original IP in the animated space. I'm super thrilled with Leo."

His other movies for Netflix have included Murder Mystery and sequel Murder Mystery 2, starring Jennifer Aniston, Hustle and Uncut Gems.
In recent days, the streamer has recently released the first full-length trailer for the hotly anticipated live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, confirmed a release date for Andrew Scott's Ripley series, and confirmed that recent thriller Society of the Snow has joined its prestigious all-time most-watched list.
Leo is now available to stream on Netflix.
