Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice are reuniting for ‘Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain’.

The two ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars are making a follow-up to their BBC One smash hit travel show ‘Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures in Sicily’ - which saw them drive all around the picturesque Italian isle and homeland of Giovanni - and they are heading to another beautiful European country.

Anton - who now sits on the judging panel with Craig Revel-Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse after being a pro on the show - said: "My loves, it is such a treat for me to be able to take my dear friend Giovanni to a country that I hold so close to my heart.

"What a joy it is to be able to share this marvellously jovial jaunt with both Gio and all the wonderful viewers watching at home. Magnifico!"

Giovanni - who has been a professional on the star-studded Latin and ballroom competition since 2015 - admitted he was “excited” for their new televised jaunt but wanted to avoid any more contact with the authorities.

He added: "I am so excited to be heading out for more adventures with my best friend Anton on this epic road trip across Spain, I just hope we manage to avoid being stopped by the police this time!"

Bosses at the public broadcaster were “thrilled” to have the pair back on screens travelling as well as dancing.

Mel Balac, the Creative Director at BBC Studios, said: "We’re thrilled to be following the boys on another epic and intimate adventure. Hold tight for plenty of laughs, a few tears and some new look song and dance numbers in the Spanish sunshine."

The head of entertainment commissioning, Kalpna Patel-Knight, also commented: "Our dancing duo are hitting the road once again and with Anton having a genuine love of the country that he wants to showcase to Giovanni, Spain is the perfect place for the boys to explore on their next adventure."
