Anya Taylor-Joy wants to play Elsa in Frozen live-action movie
Anya Taylor-Joy would love to play Elsa if Disney ever make a live-action version of Frozen.
The Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star, who bears a striking resemblance to the animated character, would be keen to play the snow queen in a potential live-action movie to impress her nieces and nephews.
When asked for her dream Disney role in an interview with Vogue Hong Kong, Taylor-Joy replied, "I think Frozen would be pretty great. It'd be very fun to shoot ice out of your hand. Also, you'd just be the favourite at every kid's birthday party. All of my siblings have children now, so I would love for them to be able to say, 'My auntie is Elsa.' That would be pretty sick."
The 28-year-old actress also revealed that she wants to add a musical to her filmography, saying, "I would love to do a musical because I'm a bit addicted to hard work. I like having an impossible mountain to climb. The idea of having to be able to sing, dance, and act at the same time would just really thrill me."
Elsa, who has the magical ability to create and manipulate ice and snow, was voiced by Idina Menzel in 2013's Frozen and 2019's Frozen II. Menzel is set to reprise her voice role for a third movie, due for release in 2027, alongside Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff.
While a live-action film has been discussed among fans, Disney has never confirmed plans to develop one.
