Bam Margera calls for 'Jackass 4' boycott as he claims he's been cut

Bam Margera has urged fans to boycott the upcoming fourth Jackass film which he says he's been cut from.

The 41-year-old made the claims in a series of now-deleted videos posted to his Instagram account on Thursday, TMZ reports.

“Who the f*** cares if I’m drunk as hell anymore? Jackass has put me through hell on f***ing wheels for a year and a half,” Margera said.

“I wrote them so many ideas, and if I’m not in the movie and they use my ideas, how do you think that will make me feel? The last thing I want to do is be in a courtroom with [director] Jeff Tremaine, I love him.

Margera added: “But f***, man, I’m not in Jackass 4? If anybody cares about me, don’t go see their movie, because I will make mine way f***ing radder if you just Venmo me a dollar. Jackass was everything to me.”

The father-of-one has battled with alcoholism for over a decade and has gone to rehab multiple times.

Margera called out for help from US talk show host Dr. Phil in 2019 in a series of rambling Instagram posts and later made an appearance on his programme.

The film is still currently scheduled for release in September with the main cast including Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and Jason "Wee Man" Acuña returning.

Both Knoxville and Steve-O were admitted to hospital in December two days into the filming schedule after jumping on a full-speed machine with brass band instruments.

There will be one notable absence as original member of the group Ryan Dunn died in a car crash in 2011.

Margera was deeply affected by the death of his friend, sharing to Instagram in a handwritten note during an early 2019 rehab stint that he had "spent enough time grieving over Ryan Dunn through alcohol".
