Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts And Meryl Streep Were Among Stars Eating Pizza During The Oscars

Imagine preparing yourself for a long shift at work only to end up at the biggest Hollywood event of the year! That’s exactly what happened to the pizza delivery guy who was asked to make a delivery at this year’s Oscars.

The delivery guy, who handed out slices of pizza to the likes of Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto, Julia Roberts, Kerry Washington and Meryl Streep, has been confirmed to be a real life worker who had no idea that he would be making a cameo appearance in front of millions of TV viewers.

Show host Ellen DeGeneres reportedly ordered the snacks from Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria on Sunset Boulevard, surprising the take-away and the stars alike.

Ellen appeared onstage and unexpectedly said, 'Guess what? Pizza's here' before five of the chain's specialty Big Papa's - at 60 square slices each - and a selection of smaller pizzas were dished out. 

Under Ellen’s instruction the bemused delivery guy, wearing his red cap and uniform, proceeded to offer slices out.

12 Years A Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor asked and received a whole box of pizza that he shared around, while Brad Pitt, ever the gent, passed around paper plates and serviettes before getting stuck into a slice of pepperoni himself. Julia Roberts asked for cheese, along with Meryl Streep who joined in the feeding frenzy.

“Kerry Washington is pregnant, she needs some,” Ellen told the pizza delivery guy. The Scandal star later posted a photo of herself on Instagram enjoying a gluten-free slice.

Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria isn’t any old pizza place, the take-out hold the Guinness World Record for the largest deliverable pizza. The “Giant Sicilian” is a whopping 2,916 Sq inch pizza that feeds up to 70 people- next time Ellen, order one of these!

The mischievous host later passed around a Pharrell Williams-esque hat to gather tips for the pizza delivery guy from the stars. TMZ say stars tipped $300.

The yet-to-be-named pizza delivery guy seems to be happy with brush with stardom. He Tweeted from the take-out’s account to say thanks.
