Bruce Willis returns to iconic 'Die Hard' filming location

Bruce Willis has returned to an iconic filming location from his classic film Die Hard.

The 67-year-old actor's wife Emma Heming Willis shared a clip on social media of the Pulp Fiction legend at the site of the Nakatomi Plaza in California where most of Die Hard is filmed.

In the short video, Willis is shown standing on top of the building (which in real life is the Fox Plaza) taking in the scenery while images from Die Hard have been spliced into the clip.

In March, Willis announced he would be retiring from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia which is a form of brain damage that affects communication and memory.

At the time, Willis' family said in a statement: “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.

"As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

In recent years, Willis has worked prolifically making straight-to-DVD action films with 15 such movies released since the start of 2021.

In his heyday, Willis was renowned for his roles in the Die Hard series where he played John McClane, Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and action movies such as Armageddon, The Fifth Element and The Last Boy Scout.

Willis also drew acclaim for his performances in The Sixth Sense, Moonrise Kingdom, 12 Monkeys and Unbreakable.

Some of his other successes in his forty plus year career include Sin City, Death Becomes Her and The Siege.

He initially rose to fame in the 1980s starring in comedy-drama Moonlighting alongside Cybil Shepherd as a pair of private detectives. The popular show ran from 1985 to 1989.
