Carrie Fisher Drops A Potential Star Wars 8 Spoiler

General Leia may have just revealed a tantalizing ‘Star Wars 8’ tidbit…

Appearing at Star Wars Celebration Europe, the 59-year-old ‘Star Wars’ actress was busy discussing her character on stage with panel host, Warwick Davis. But one of his questions may have thrown her off a bit.

Asked whether or not she had been told about Leia’s story between ‘Return of the Jedi’ and ‘The Force Awakens’, Fisher accidentally assumed that he meant between ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘Star Wars 8’.

And while she didn’t get to say too much, she did let slip two simple words.

“Han’s funeral…” she said, before trailing off and realising that she’d let the cat out of the bag. “Oh, oh… Han and I have a very, very volatile relationship, obviously, which leads to space divorce as you know. No I don’t think we are divorced - just estranged.”

“We had a child who turned out to be Hitler,” she added. “I did spank Adam when I first met him so that felt good. He’s very tall so I don’t think he was scared.”

Does this mean that Han Solo won’t be getting an on-screen send off?

If Carrie Fisher’s comments are anything to go by, it looks as though Solo’s funeral could happen between ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘Star Wars 8’… meaning that ‘Star Wars’ fans won’t get to see the emotional send-off for Harrison Ford’s iconic space smuggler.

Of course, she could have gotten her wires crossed even further.

It’s difficult to read exactly what she meant when she referenced Han Solo’s funeral… and without finishing her sentence, it’s difficult to put it into any context.

Will we see the funeral, won’t we see the funeral? Either way, it looks as though he’s getting one. But Leia won’t be holding off on finding a new lover…

Asked if Leia will get a new partner in ‘Star Wars 8′ she replied: “I hope so! God, I hope so…”

But back to Han for a moment…

Will they recover Han’s body to give him a proper burial, or is this a token funeral?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but I’m guessing we won’t find out for some time.

‘Star Wars 8’ heads to cinemas on 17 December 2017.
