Clint Eastwood Will Vote For Donald Trump, Hates Current Generation
Clint Eastwood has revealed that he’ll vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming U.S. presidential election. But at the same time he stopped short of endorsing him and admitted that he doesn’t always agree with what he says.
The legendary actor and director made this admission to Esquire during his joint interview with his son Scott Eastwood.
After being asked who he’d vote for between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Clint Eastwood admitted, “That’s a tough one, isn’t it? I’d have to go for Trump … you know, ‘cause she’s declared that she’s gonna follow in Obama’s footsteps.”
Discussing why Donald Trump has proven to be so popular, Eastwood also touched upon why he currently despises the current generation.
“But [Trump’s] onto something,” Eastwood insisted. “Because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’s the kiss-a** generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a p**** generation.”
“Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist.”
Eastwood added, “What Trump is onto is he’s just saying what’s on his mind. And sometimes it’s not so good. And sometimes it’s … I mean, I can understand where he’s coming from, but I don’t always agree with it.”
Eastwood did admit that Donald Trump’s comments regarding U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who Trump insisted was biased against him because of his Mexican heritage and shouldn’t be involved in a case against the Republican Presidential nominee over Trump University, were a “dumb thing to say,” though.
But, at the same time, he added that “both sides” have been just as bad as each other.
