Courteney Cox is heading back down the aisle after Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid popped the question.

The former Friends star took to Twitter.com on Thursday to share the good news with her followers by posting a close-up shot of herself with her new fiance, along with a caption which read: "I'm engaged to him!"

Johnny added: "I'm engaged to her!"

The proposal reportedly happened while the couple celebrated Courteney's 50th birthday in the Turks and Caicos Islands earlier this month, and the happy news comes not long after they previously denied reports of an engagement.

And who's the Cupid that set this pair up? None other than Ed Sheeran!

Courteney split from actor David Arquette, the father of her daughter Coco, in 2013.
