Dakota Johnson & Kate Hudson Are Having a Jolly Good Time With Their Moms In Aspen

A girls trip for the holidays, could anything be dreamier? On Tuesday night, there was much revelry in the house where Goldie Hawn and Melanie Griffith were staying with their daughters, Kate Hudson and Dakota Johnson. With giant grins on their faces, the girls posed for a cute Instagram photo with each other’s moms on their laps. “Goldie, Dakota, Kate and me having some giggles in Aspen! Mother-Daughter times are the best!!!” captioned Griffith in the pic.

The evening was a perfect end to what we assume was a very good day. Earlier in the afternoon, the happy quartet were joined by jeweler Jennifer Meyer for an in-town shopping excursion. While we’re used to seeing all of these women in their red carpet finery, for a trip into town they kept it very casual. Well, casual by Hollywood standards anyway.

Hudson wore a long white toggle coat with fur trim and a fur hat along with a plaid shirt, sweatpants, and snow boots. Johnson, meanwhile, donned a T-shirt and jeans along with a camel fur-trimmed coat with rounded sunglasses that almost mimicked what Hudson wore in Almost Famous. At one point during the day she could be seen bear hugging her mom, who also looked quite chic in a long, black, fur-trimmed puffer coat. Johnson was also seen holding hands with Hawn, who sported giant sunnies and a white hooded coat for the outing.

The one constant accessory among all of these women? Their trademark smiles of course. We would be grinning from ear to ear as well with a view like the one that Hudson posted earlier in the week (which she captioned “good to be home”). A winter wonderland with your closest friends and family is what the holidays are all about.
