'Die Hard On Ice' gets its own spoof trailer

Ever wondered how well Die Hard's John McClane would measure up on a pair of ice skates? Of course you have.

And with that, we now have a spoof trailer for Die Hard On Ice, melding the anti-Christmas terrorist actioner with some salchows, death drops and scratch spins.

Knocked up by Now TV to celebrate the current streaming of the Bruce Willis classic, it features some impressive talent on show.

Playing Willis's be-vested NYPD detective is Dunkirk and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil actor Tom Boney.

He's accompanied by four-time British silver medallist Thomas Paulson as Hans Gruber (the late Alan Rickman in the movie) and three time British figure skating champion John Hamer as henchman Karl (played by the late Alexander Godunov).

NOW TV's managing director Marina Storti said: “Die Hard is arguably the greatest action movie of all time - an iconic and festive blend of action, intelligence, drama and comedy – and we’re sure our ‘on ice’ recreation will be loved by Die Hard enthusiasts and NOW TV fans alike.”

As for whether Die Hard is really a 'Christmas movie', we discovered last year that, sadly, it is not.
