It seems like only yesterday that we said goodbye to Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight accent and Obi-Wan Kenobi is keeping the Disney+ marquee alive, but the MCU is heading straight back to our screens in June with something very exciting in Ms. Marvel. Iman Vellani will play the titular teenage hero in the series, which looks to have a very different feel to Moon Knight and other recent Marvel outings.

On the movie front, there's the raucous LGBT+ comedy Fire Island and a sequel to one of the original films that helped to launch Disney+ in the UK back in 2020 in the shape of Hollywood Stargirl.

Hollywood Stargirl (3 June)

Stargirl was among the titles to be a part of Disney+ when it first launched in the UK in March 2020, within a week or two of the country entering its first COVID-19 lockdown. Fronted by likeable young music star Grace VanderWaal, the movie was a traditional, slushy YA drama but one that came with real heart and a sense of fun.

Two years later, sequel Hollywood Stargirl sees Julia Hart return to the director's chair, adding some A-list names to the cast. Judy Greer plays Stargirl's mother Ana, who relocates with her daughter to Los Angeles when she gets a job on a movie set. This gives Stargirl a whole new community into which she must try to fit.
