All the films Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has in the works right now
The news that Dwayne Johnson will shoot Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ in spring 2018 adds yet another project to the wrestler-turned-actor’s busy schedule. Next up is of course ‘Fast & Furious 8,’ opening this Wednesday 12 April, in which Johnson reprises the role of Agent Luke Hobbs. Vin Diesel feud notwithstanding, it seems likely Johnson will return in the planned ninth and tenth films that will end the ‘F&F’ series, and there’s also been talk of a Hobbs solo movie. Baywatch
It was always going to take a big man to fill The Hoff’s red shorts, but no doubt Johnson is up to the task. This raunchy comedy take on the 1990s TV guilty pleasure co-stars Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario and Priyanka Chopra, and is in cinemas on 29 May. (Picture credit: Paramount)

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
This recently renamed ‘Jumanji’ sequel/reboot reunites Johnson with his ‘Central Intelligence’ co-star Kevin Hart, whilst Jack Black and Karen Gillan fill out the ensemble as the avatars of four teens playing the mysterious jungle-based game, this time around on a vintage console. Sure to be fun for all the family, it’s out 29 December. (Picture credit: Sony)

Rampage
Based on the 1986 arcade game centred on a trio of formerly human giant monsters wreaking havoc in the big city, this film will reunite Johnson with ‘San Andreas’ director Brad Peyton. The impressive supporting cast includes Malin Akerman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Joe Manganeillo and Naomie Harris, and it’s due to open 20 April 2018. (Picture credit: Midway Games/Warner Bros)

Skyscraper
Another ‘Central Intelligence’ reunion for Johnson, as he once again teams up with writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber for this action thriller, said to centre on a hostage crisis at the top of China’s tallest building. Little else is known at present, but it’s due in cinemas 13 July 2018. (Picture credit: Sean Thorton/WENN.com)

Fighting with my Family
‘Tooth Fairy’ reunion, anyone? Clearly a loyal guy, Johnson gets back in the ring with Stephen Merchant, who this time writes and directs, in a comedy about a family of small time British wrestlers with dreams of the big time; doubtless something the artist formerly known as The Rock can relate to. Nick Frost, Lena Heady and Vince Vaughn also star, and it’s due sometime in 2018. (Picture credit: Dwayne Johnson’s Instagram)

Shazam/Black Adam
One of the most curious developing projects from the DC Extended Universe, Johnson’s casting as ‘Shazam’ anti-hero Black Adam was announced over two years ago, whilst the film has still yet to announce a director or any other cast members. Nonetheless, ‘Shazam’ is pencilled in for 5 April 2019, whilst it has also been reported Johnson will follow it up with a ‘Black Adam’ solo movie. (Picture credit: DC Comics/Warner Bros)

San Andreas 2
As if saving the world from total devastation just the once was ever going to be enough for Johnson. He’s poised to reprise his role as rescue helicopter pilot Raymond Gaines in a follow-up to the 2015 disaster movie, although no release date has been announced just yet. Doc Savage
A pulp fiction icon often credited as one of the original superheroes, ‘Doc Savage’ has long been a passion project of writer-director Shane Black (‘Iron Man 3,’ ‘The Nice Guys’), and Johnson has signed on to play the title role. Again, no release date has been announced yet, but it’s expected this will be Black’s next movie after the in-production ‘The Predator.’ (Picture credit: Altus Press)

Big Trouble in Little China
Well over a year ago, Johnson announced plans to remake John Carpenter’s 1986 cult classic action comedy, with his sights on taking over Kurt Russell’s role of Jack Burton, the dim-witted trucker who gets caught up in an ancient war between mystic forces from China. It would seem to be on the back burner at present, with no release date or director in place. (Picture credit: 20th Century Fox)

Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon
2012’s ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ was one of the hit sequels which helped Johnson earn his ‘franchise viagra’ nickname, so it was little surprise that plans for a third movie were announced almost immediately. However, in the five years since not a lot seems to have happened, but it’s still listed on Johnson’s IMDb page, if that counts for anything. (Picture credit: New Line Cinema)

Between spending seemingly half his life in the gym and the rest on a film set, you may wonder just when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson gets any sleep. Our guess is… never. As the 44 year-old wrestler-turned-blockbuster machine signs on to star in Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise,’ we take a look at the long list of other projects The Rock has cooking. (Sorry.)
