Two weeks after announcing that he and longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian had tied the knot after two kids and 12 years of dating, Dwayne Johnson is opening up his private wedding album — and sharing how he kept his special day secret.
The Hobbs & Shaw star told his Instagram followers that his Hawaiian nuptials were handled in-house by his family and staff to ensure that the couple had the day without paparazzi interference.
“To carry out my #1 goal of complete privacy, no wedding planners or outside resources were hired,” the 47-year-old posted on social media. “Everything you see was created by hand, by staff and family only. The end results were spectacular and [Hashian] and I will forever be grateful for helping our hearts sing on this day.”
As the intimate photos from lensman Jon Brandon Cruz show, the wedding including Hawaiian shirts galore, breakfast staples like pancakes and frittata as well as steak sliders and mini grilled cheese sandwiches, a three-tier wedding cake topped with a frosted rainbow detail, and an abundance of floral leis.
The outdoor ceremony overlooked the ocean, with guests sitting on simple wooden benches while Johnson and Hashian exchanged vows underneath an arch adorned with white blooms. Their daughters, 3-year-old Jasmine and 1-year-old Tiana, also made some heart-melting appearances, with the former sporting a grass skirt for the occasion.
The wedding photos prompted well wishes from the likes of Tom Brady and Jeffrey Dean Morgan of The Walking Dead, who wrote, “Gorgeous. All of it. Even you.”
This marks Johnson’s second marriage. He and ex-wife Dany Garcia split in 2007 after 10 years of marriage and have an 18-year-old daughter, Simone.
