Fantastic Four fans believe they've worked out Natasha Lyonne's role in the upcoming Marvel film.

The Russian Doll star is set to appear alongside Pedro Pascal as Mr Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing.

Eager fans have taken to social media to discuss who they believe the Poker Face actor will be playing – with one name consistently being thrown around.

Many Reddit users think she could be Alicia Masters, the girlfriend of Ben Grimm AKA the Thing. She is a blind artist who met Ben shortly after he became the Thing, helping him accept his new appearance after his fiancée left him.

The character has previously been portrayed by Kerry Washington in the 2005 Fantastic Four film and its sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Others believe that Lyonne, who played drug addict Nicky Nichols in Orange Is the New Black, will appear as the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E (Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-type, Integrated Electronics), a robot that assists the Fantastic Four.

It comes as The First Omen actor Ralph Ineson was announced as villain Galactus for the film.

Hollywood icon John Malkovich and Cobra Kai star Paul Walter Hauser have also joined, in undisclosed roles.

The star-studded cast has fans of the franchise thrilled, but Stranger Things icon Quinn has admitted he has "big boots" to fill replacing Chris Evans.

"I remember really enjoying Chris Evans's performance as Johnny in the previous films, and it felt like this would be a really exciting opportunity," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I was absolutely signed up."

Speaking about securing the role, he continued: "I knew that they'd been talking about making the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Universe for a while.

"I had a talk with [director] Matt [Shakman], and it was very clear with the kind of people who they were attaching to it what they were trying to do with it. There are aspects of it that are very much a singular thing and its own thing."

Fantastic Four is set to be released on July 25, 2025.
