First John Wick 2 pictures show Keanu Reeves and his brand new dog

‘John Wick’ was a pleasant surprise when it was released back in 2014.

Not only did it gross $86 million from a $20 million budget, but it also achieved critical acclaim and was even labelled a welcome return to form for Keanu Reeves.

Because of this success a sequel was soon ordered, and we’ve now been provided with our first look at ‘John Wick: Chapter 2′, which even shows us that the titular star’s brand new dog is still safe and well. But considering what happened to his last pooch, it might not stay that way.

We also got a peak of Keanu Reeves dressed to the nines and looking rather intense and ready to fight inside a neon drenched night-club. A stance and setting that looks could easily have been ripped straight out of the original.

‘John Wick 2′ sees Reeves’ character coming out of retirement again thanks to a former associate that’s trying to take control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild.

Since John Wick has a blood oath to assist him, he travels to Rome to face off against a hoard of the world’s deadliest killers. And clearly things soon get very, very messy.

Rather than being directed by both David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, who previously worked as stunt doubles opposite Reeves on ‘The Matrix’ trilogy,

‘John Wick 2′ is only being overseen by the latter. But Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, and Bridget Moynahan are returning, while they’ll be joined by Common, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, and Peter Stormare.

We’ll get to see if ‘John Wick: Chapter 2′ can match and even eclipse its predecessor when it’s finally release in the UK on 17 February, 2017.
