Yahoo Movies First look at EastEnders star Michelle Collins in new horror movie

A first look at EastEnders star Michelle Collins' new horror movie has been released.
The Haunting of Helen's Bridge explores the urban legend surrounding Helen's Mountain and its famous bridge, located in North Carolina (via Variety).
The movie, which is set to premiere in 2025, has recently completed its principal photography.
The story focuses on Helen, a grieving mother. Distraught and overwhelmed by the loss of her child, Helen sadly takes her own life at the bridge.

In a unique twist, actual paranormal footage captured from the real-life bridge location will be incorporated into the storyline.
The Haunting of Helen's Bridge is directed by Stephen Presley, who has also penned the script alongside Gemma Esau. Presley also produces the film, as well as Djonny Chen and Ajo Kacmar.
"I've never been in a horror genre movie before, so I was thrilled when this opportunity came along," said Collins in a statement.
"Despite initially being worried about having nightmares after the filming, I genuinely enjoyed the whole experience, and I'd love to make another horror now. I can't wait for people to watch it."

Presley added: "I aspired to craft a film that intricately blurs the lines between fact and fiction, creating a space where authenticity prevails in every element."
Collins returned to Albert Square as Cindy Beale in August 2023, after 25 years.
Since her return, Cindy has opened up a pie and mash shop with Ian, while also attempting to patch things up with her ex-husband George Knight.
The Haunting of Helen's Bridge is due to be released in 2025.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
