First Look: Natalie Portman As Iconic First Lady Jackie O

In a rather brilliant transformation, this is the first look at Natalie Portman as the iconic first lady Jacqueline Kennedy from forthcoming biopic ‘Jackie’.

Snapped in the setting of the White House, Portman is pictured in an effortlessly chic red suit, looking like a doppelgänger for the wife of President John F. Kennedy.

The movie picks up in the days immediately following the assassination of her husband in Dallas, in 1963.

It’s being directed by Pablo Larraín, the Chilean helmsman behind 'El Club’, the Chilean entry for next year’s Best Foreign Language film at the Oscars.

Being shot currently in Paris, it also features a quietly stellar cast, including Greta Gerwig, Peter Sarsgaard, 'Sopranos’ star Max Casella and John Hurt.

Kennedy, often called Jackie O, following her second marriage to shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, was known as much for her iconic style as she was for her role as First Lady of the United States.

The movie is due out next year.
