Yahoo Movies Watch the trailer for horror prequel The First Omen
The First Omen trailer is here to creep you out in the new year, and you can watch it above right now.
The new movie follows the story of a young woman (played by Game of Thrones star Nell Tiger Free) who begins working at a church in Rome, before a dark conspiracy changes her life forever.
"A young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, but encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate," reads the official synopsis for the prequel to the classic horror movie.
If you like the sound of that, The First Omen is released in cinemas on April 5.

The First Omen also stars Bill Nighy, Tawfeek Barhom, Sônia Braga and Ralph Ineson, while it has been directed by Arkasha Stevenson who also wrote the screenplay alongside Tim Smith and Keith Thomas.
In case you weren't aware, the new movie serves as a prequel to the 1976 horror classic, The Omen which was followed by the release of three sequels, as well as a 2006 reboot.
The original film starred Gregory Peck as an American diplomat who secretly replaces his child, after his biological child tragically dies in childbirth. When supernatural events begin to occur, the father becomes convinced that his son is the Antichrist.
This isn't Free's first horror role. Last year, the actress returned as Leanne Grayson in the fourth and final season of Apple TV+ series Servant. Showrunner M. Night Shyamalan previously told Digital Spy why he decided to end the series early.
"I spent all this time on it. I think I feel more comfortable saying a four-year commitment than a six-year commitment to be that involved. I can see the finish line. I can commit at this level," he said.
The First Omen is released in cinemas on April 5, 2024.
