First trailer for new Batman movie ahead of Prime Video release
A first trailer for Merry Little Batman has been released, seeing a bearded Batman involved in a perilous festive mission with his son.
Set to stream on Prime Video from December 8, the animated holiday special follows Bruce Wayne (Owen Wilson) as he now rocks a copious amount of facial hair and gets ready for Christmas with his son Damian (Yonas Kibreab).
After Gotham has been declared crime-free, the father-son duo are set to enjoy a cosy celebration together with the trusted Alfred (James Cromwell), with dad Bruce gifting Damian his very own utility belt.

Their family plans go awry when Batman has to answer a call from the Justice League and leaves for a last-minute expedition, promising Damian to get back in time for Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, Joker (David Hornsby) has turned into a meaner version of The Grinch and is determined to steal Christmas from Gotham City.
Home alone in Wayne Manor, Damian decides to put a stop to the clown's evil scheme. The kid finds a perfectly tailored mini Batman costume in the vault, jumping at the chance to transform into Little Batman, but will he be able to save Christmas?

The trailer sees an array of supervillains, including Poison Ivy and Mr Freeze, joining Joker in his anti-Christmas endeavour and attempting to defeat the relentless Little Batman. However, Damian will get a little help from big Batman himself, now happily taking a backseat to be his son's sidekick.
Directed by Mike Roth, known for animated series Regular Show, Merry Little Batman is co-written by Morgan Evans (Teen Titans Go!) and Jase Ricci (Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, Tangled: The Series).
Merry Little Christmas premieres on Prime Video on December 8.
