First trailer for Jamie Foxx’s new Prime Video movie The Burial
Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for Jamie Foxx's new movie, The Burial.
Foxx stars as a charismatic and flamboyant personal injury lawyer who takes on a case involving a small family business and a mega-corporation, taking the proceedings from $8 million to well over $100 million, with a fearsome lawyer known as 'The Python' being recruited for the other side.
As the case ramps up, it becomes a tale of power, oppression and race, but as we see in the trailer, also one of friendship. It's based on a true story that took place in the 1950s.

As well as Foxx, there's a solid cast consisting of Succession star Alan Ruck, Ad Astra's Tommy Lee Jones, and Lovecraft Country's Jurnee Smollett, as well as Mamoudou Athie and Dorian Missick.
Although the film isn't being released until next month, it will premiere in just a few days at the Toronto International Film Festival, so hopefully the critics in attendance will have reviews up soon so we can find out if it's worth going to see or not.
Foxx was hospitalised earlier this year after an unspecified medical complication, and recently thanked fans for all of their love and support.
"Finally startin to feel like myself… it's been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light…," he wrote on his Instagram. "I'm thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers… I have a lot of people to thank… u just don't know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally."
The Burial will receive a limited theatrical release in some territories on October 6, and be available to stream via Prime Video from October 13.
