'Fresh' star Daisy Edgar-Jones is keen to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing' (exclusive)
Watch: Daisy Edgar-Jones on whether she's ready for Strictly
After her breakout turn in Normal People, Daisy Edgar-Jones’ latest project shows off a hidden talent that kept her on her toes... literally.
Starring alongside Sebastian Stan in Fresh — debuting on Disney+ on 18 March — her character has given up on dating apps to find somebody special and then meets an attractive man in a grocery store.
Although the two actors share some gruelling physical scenes, one of the movie’s highlights is when they dance together, and when we asked if she'd consider a stint on Strictly Come Dancing now, she told Yahoo: “I’d love to learn how to do the jive. I can see it!”

“You can probably see from the film that I’m not a massively brilliantly dancer, but I do have rhythm,” she admitted.
The pair underwent rigorous rehearsals to nail their fancy footwork, and Edgar-Jones enjoyed the experience.
“I got to dance with The Winter Soldier! That’s quite cool!” she laughed, referring to Stan's famous Marvel character.
“It was so much fun. We had about four or five days of rehearsals before we started and one of the big things that we rehearsed was that final dance. Mimi [director Mimi Cave] had quite specific choreography, so we were working out what song to boogie to and Sebastian was very good with the shoulder moves.
"Those scenes were probably some of my favourites to film.”
Stan’s own dance technique hit the headlines recently when he posted his Fresh audition tape on Instagram.
His dance to Womack & Womack’s Teardrops shows he has all the moves, although the large knife in his hand drops a hint about what’s to come in the film.

Edgar-Jones will be back on the small screen this spring in Under The Banner Of Heaven. The mini-series which also stars Andrew Garfield, is due to air in the UK on Disney+ later this year.

Her next film, Where The Crawdads Sing, is scheduled for later in the year. Stan appears this year as a conman in Apple TV’s thriller, Sharper, while his next film, The Brutalist, is currently in pre-production and its heavyweight cast also includes Mark Rylance, Vanessa Kirby, Marion Cotillard and Joel Edgerton.
But there’s no confirmation as to whether we’ll see him again as Bucky Barnes in the much anticipated Captain America 4.
Fresh is released on Disney+ on 18 March.
