Ghostbusters 2 Predicted The End Of The World This Valentine’s Day

If ‘Ghostbusters 2′ is to be believed, the end is nigh this Valentine’s Day, according to the guest that appears on Peter Venkman’s (Bill Murray) show World of the Psychic.

We all remember the 1989 sequel to the smash hit ‘Ghostbusters’, right?

Well, just in case you’d erased the memory of the below par sequel, one particular scene makes the then future claim of when the world will end, and it’s tomorrow, 14 February, 2016. Sorry folks.

During a scene where the ex-’buster Peter Venkman (played by the genius that is Bill Murray) hosts a show all about psychic predictions, we’re told the exact date. Whether he takes any of his guests seriously is another matter, but the date for one spooky prediction is right upon us.

Take a look at the video below.

“According to my source, the end of the world will be on February 14th, in the year 2016,” claims Venkman’s psychic guest. “I received this information from an alien,” she continues. So it seems like a legit claim.

But this isn’t the first time the internet has had its mind blown with film predictions. Notably, last year saw people get rather excited when the date Marty and Doc visit in ‘Back to the Future: Part II’, 21 October, 2015, came about. The year of disaster flick ‘2012’ also came and went, so perhaps movies aren’t the best at predicting the futre after all.

“And that’s the whole problem with aliens, you just can’t trust them,” concludes Venkman. Ain’t that the truth.
