Golden Globes 2020 film nominations: Netflix's Marriage Story lands most nods
The nominations for the 2020 Golden Globes have been announced with Netflix’s Marriage Story leading the way with six nominations in total.
Noah Baumbach’s divorce drama – which landed on Netflix this weekend – is up for Best Drama, Best Actor and Actress for Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, Best Supporting Actress for Laura Dern, Best Screenplay, and Best Score.
Not far behind with five nods is another Netflix film, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. It’s also up for Best Drama, Best Supporting actor for Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Robert De Niro, who plays the title character, has been overlooked for Best Actor.
Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood matches Scorsese’s film with five nominations: Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Supporting Actor for Brad Pitt, and Best Screenplay and Director for Tarantino himself.
