Ideal Home clip sees Steve Coogan having to explain his porn parody collection (exclusive)

Ideal Home is headed to cinemas and digital HD next month, and we have an exclusive clip to celebrate. The scene features Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, The Trip) and Paul Rudd (I Love You, Man, Ant-Man) in a fairly embarrassing situation. After the new parents are visited by child services, they find themselves having to explain their extensive porn parody collection.

It’s the sort of scene that wouldn’t look out of place in an Alan Partridge episode, which gives us high hopes for the final film.

Ideal Home sees entertaining TV chef Erasmus Brumble (Coogan) and his director / long-term partner Paul (Rudd), happily going through life playing as hard as they work. But they have to decide whether to grow-up or continue down their well-trodden path, when Erasmus’s estranged grandson, Bill (Jack Gore), unexpectedly turns up at their door, after his father is taken away to serve time in prison.

The couple’s fears that they are not yet cut out to be devoted parents become apparent very quickly, with their lavish social lifestyle (and an extensive erotic film collection) getting in the way of their duties as responsible guardians.

Coming from the director of The Craft (Andrew Fleming) and featuring Allison Pill (Milk), and Jake McDorman (Lady Bird) in supporting roles, Ideal Home could easily end up being a bit of a sleeper hit.

Check it out when Ideal Home lands in cinemas and on Digital HD from 6th July, 2018
