Jack O’Connell: George Clooney Prank ‘Humiliated’ Me On Money Monster Set

Master prankster George Clooney has been up to his old tricks again on the set of his new movie ‘Money Monster’ which arrives in cinemas today.

Speaking with Yahoo Movies, his co-star Jack O’Connell revealed the Cloonster “humiliated” him on set by larking around, be he thinks he got off lightly in the grand scheme of things.

“He got me,” admits Jack who plays Kyle Budwell in the new thriller, “It was a bit of a light one in comparison, because I’ve heard he can really get people.”

He’s not wrong. In the past Clooney has filled Bill Murray’s luggage with gravel, soaked Ryan Gosling’s crotch with a water bottle, and prank called Hugh Jackman in the middle of the night to punish him for winning “Sexiest Man Alive”.

“But I was doing some press ups on set,” continues O’Connell, “the whole crew was there and I wanted to get some energy because I was running low.

“And there’s me doing my press ups, and George is stood behind me and he’s started doing these old school calisthenics.

“Like, wartime calisthenics. But I get up and and the whole crew is laughing at me, and I was humiliated. He did me.”

Jodie Foster, Clooney’s director on ‘Money Monster’, says she didn’t fall prey to the prankster, joking that he only does them on people he likes.

“I’m pretty sure his pranks are a sign of affection,” Foster grinned, “So, clearly he has no affection for me.”
