Emergency rooms across the US will be stocking up on plaster casts following the news that the Jackass crew are getting the band back together.

The fourth Jackass movie has been confirmed by Paramount Pictures for March 5, 2021.

The show, which first appeared in series form on MTV, was created by Spike Jonze, Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, with Knoxville and his gang of former skaters, circus performers and general ne-er-do-wells performing ridiculous and often extraordinarily dangerous stunts.

Along with Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Ryan Dunn, Ehren McGhehey, Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña, and Preston Lacy, they made three movies – the most recent in 3D – making more than $335 million at the box office.

Spin-off movie Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, with Knoxville reprising his role as the prosthetic-laden pensioner from the series Irving Zisman, landed in 2013 and earned an Oscar nomination for make-up.

As recently as last year, Jason Acuña said that a fourth movie was 'definitely not happening', but there appears to have been a change of heart.

It will be the first Jackass movie since the tragic death of founding Jackass member Ryan Dunn in 2011, who died in a car crash.

Dunn, and Zachary Hartwell, a production assistant on the second Jackass movie, were both killed when Dunn's Porsche 911 GT left the road and hit a tree in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

He was twice the legal limit for alcohol and was driving as fast as 140 mph at the time of the crash, according to accident reports.
