Jean-Claude Van Damme does the splits… in space?

Jean-Claude Van Damme has provided us with another moment of internet gold, thanks to the latest spoof of his Volvo advert.

The original saw the Belgian star doing the splits between two moving trucks, but in this new ‘Gravity’ aping viral video, the Muscles from Brussels is seen performing his stunt in a spacesuit between two satellites in zero gravity.

It’s the work of Linh Mai, a visual effects artist and film-maker who, like in the Oscar-nominated ‘Gravity’, has sent an actor into space using just a fancy visual effects computer program.

So far, we’ve seen spoofs of the original from Channing Tatum, plus another which put Chuck Norris between two flying jet planes, so where next for the infamous Van Damme splits?

Is space the final frontier?
