Bonkers new Van Damme trailer

If you can work out what's going on in the first trailer for Jean-Claude Van Damme movie 'Enemies Closer', then hats off to you.

Whatever it is, the martial arts legend looks certifiably bonkers in this blazing action-packed romp, playing drug cartel kingpin Xander, who is searching for a missing consignment of heroin on the US-Canadian border.

For reasons one would hope are fully explained, Van Damme stumbles upon a grudge-based row between mild-mannered former frogman Henry and Orlando Jones' Clay.

The pair then have to put aside whatever their back-story is to survive in the woods, while Van Damme tracks them down... dressed up as a mountie, cackling madly and punching men out of trees.

Having previously worked with Van Damme on 'Timecop' and 'Sudden Death', director Peter Hyams helms this adult-rated actioner.

No word on a UK release date as yet, but it's out around Europe next month.

We're just happy he got off that lorry in one piece...
