Jean-Claude Van Damme Sends Message of Support Over Brussels Attacks

Jean-Claude Van Damme has sent messages of support following the terrorist attacks in his hometown of Brussels yesterday.

The 55-year-old action star spoke of his ‘pain’ following the bombings, which claimed the lives of 34 people.

“Pray for our world,” he said on his Instagram account.

“My heart goes out to the victims, their families and all the people of my home country Belgium on this sad, sad day.

“I can’t begin to explain the pain in my heart right now…

“Let’s pray for our world my brothers and sisters #PrayForBelgium.

In another post, he added: “Total respect, appreciation and love to those who fight for us and their amazing families that stand behind them. I stopped tonight to spend some time with Belgium’s finest and show my gratitude. These guys are the real deal.”

Van Damme was born in the Sint-Agatha-Berche district of the city.

34 people died in the attack yesterday morning in the Belgian capital, which also left over 100 injured.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the atrocity.
