Jeff Goldblum teases return to Marvel universe
Jeff Goldblum considers himself a late bloomer, a late “Goldblumer “ in fact.
No wonder then that the 66-year-young actor is raring to return to the Marvel universe, which he first entered as the Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok.
“I can’t reveal any secrets... but there was a whisper of a thought of a notion of a psychic imagining that I might have some participation,” he said about the latest instalment Thor: Love & Thunder, which is currently in pre-production with Raganarok’s Taiki Waititi directing.
Goldblum made the comments in a video interview with Entertainment Weekly at D23 Expo 2019, Disney’s fan event currently running in California.
He went on to add, “I would love to... I would show up anywhere where Taiki Waititi is.”

It wouldn’t be the first time Goldblum has dropped hints ahead of a Marvel role. Before the arrival of Ragnorok at cinemas, the Indepedence Day actor let slip to Empire magazine a little about his Grandmaster role, saying, “He’s a hedonist, a pleasure-seeker, an enjoyer of life and tastes and smells.”

When initially quizzed on the latest addition to the Thor series at D23, the Jurassic Park star was a little lost at first.
“Do I know anything about love and thunder?” He said. “If that’s the title of something then I’ve never heard of it, but I know something about love and I know something about thunder.”
Off camera someone quickly updated the actor, before he realised, “Oh it’s the new title for the Thor movie - oooh...”
It wasn’t the first update Goldbum got on current Marvel news while in Anaheim. When a Variety reporter asked him about Spider-Man leaving the MCU, it was news to him too.
“No! This is the first I’ve heard of it. I’m crestfallen. What’s happening?”
